These changes are bound to influence the current landscape and affect global supply chains and offer new challenges and opportunities for the shippers and logistics providers.

With the end of the 2M Alliance, and HAPAG's departure from THE Alliance, the surviving members ONE, HMM, and Yang Ming form a new partnership under the name Premier Alliance. Their plan includes the expansion of three Asia - North Pacific routes and five Asia - US East Coast routes starting February 2025.

After the end of 2M Alliance, Maersk and HAPAG are forming Gemini Cooperation with the aim to enhance the reliability of their services with the "hub-and-spoke" model, centered around hubs jointly controlled by the Gemini Cooperation partners, and an extensive shuttle and feeder network from these hubs to the final locations.

Meanwhile, Ocean Alliance Extends their partnership until 2032, consisting of CMA CGM, Evergreen, COSCO and OOCL. While MSC and ZIM has announced a new operational cooperation on the transpacific route, connecting Asia - US East Coast and Gulf of Mexico.
